If you’re new to trucking, over-the-road (OTR) might seem like the only option. A career in OTR means long hours on the road, and days or weeks away from home. For some truckers, this isn’t a bad option—but we’re here to tell you that this isn’t the only way. Like we said, you’ve got options.

 

Working for JFW means you’ll only drive local routes. In other words, you’ll be in the truck for the day like an OTR driver, but you’ll get to come home and sleep in a real bed every night.

 

Naturally, local routes (going only as far as southern Wyoming in our case) mean you get more time with your family too. And to us and our veteran drivers, that makes all the difference.
