The Past Year Hasn’t Been Easy for the Trucking Community, so we Decided to Show our Appreciation…
Whether you’re a trucker, a dispatcher, or a business owner in the world of JFW Trucking, we’ve got one thing in common.
We all work hard in one of the most vital industries in America—trucking is the backbone of commerce across all 50 states.
But these past couple of years haven’t been easy.
You’ve probably battled to maintain your livelihood, your way of life, and your ability to put food on the table for yourself and your family.
We’re not out of the weeds quite yet—chances are we won’t be out for a while.
As business owners, we’ve struggled to adapt to these changing times…
But what we endured didn’t come close to the issues our employees and their families were experiencing.
So, we decided to do something about it.
Doing Things Differently at JFW
Like we said—being in the trucking industry means your job makes up the backbone of American commerce.
Of course, that means our employees are the backbone of JFW Trucking.
Without them, our business would fall flat—that’s the honest truth.
And these past couple of years reinforced the importance of not only hiring the best in the business but also keeping our family together for the long haul.
We want to be fully transparent when we say that growing as a company (and allowing our team members to make more money) depends on building long-term relationships.
In other words, it’s important to us that our truckers and support staff stick around.
Still, we understand building those bonds and strengthening our JFW family is about taking care of ours.
That’s why we rolled out our “Thanks a Million” plan in December of 2021…
Thanks a Million from our family to yours
When we say “thanks a million” we mean it—we’ve invested $1 million back into our company, and most importantly, the people who continue to make our business successful.
We talked over this decision for quite a while. There are countless directions we could’ve gone in terms of supporting our team members.
But we didn’t want to take the easy route—we recognized that our employees’ job security is vital, their quality of life on and off the clock is vital, and their ability to support their families is vital.
And we wanted to be true to our company creed—Together we face and overcome all that stands before us. Together we are a family.
So, we decided to go the extra mile.
That $1 million investment equates to a 3% raise for drivers and a $2 raise for our hourly employees.
Our team members’ hard work and dedication made it clear to us that investing in them is well worth it.
